I ended up enjoying this considerably more than I anticipated, and it surpassed expectations. It’s strange that I recall encountering the book alongside the film’s release, yet I never got around to watching it back then. That was a mistake, because I really enjoyed Michael Crawford in the British television program 'Doctor in the House' when I was younger, and Oliver Reed and Barbara Carrera consistently bring something worthwhile to movies. It deserves appreciation, particularly if you have children. This is a Disney live-action film that has held up surprisingly well over time.
