There’s much to appreciate in *Conclave*, despite its length being a little excessive. The acting is definitely what stands out most, and that's essential for movies filled with dialogue—and this one succeeds on that front. Ralph Fiennes delivers a predictably excellent performance, which I consider a definite plus. John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci, Lucian Msamati, and Sergio Castellitto also deserve recognition. I found the music very pleasing, and the visuals are beautiful. The narrative is engaging, even for someone who isn’t interested in religious topics. It does run on longer than necessary; I didn't feel bored at any point, but toward the end, I was looking forward to seeing the credits roll. It felt like a film that could have been two hours long—not as a criticism, just an observation.
