It’s a shame this movie isn’t better known; it doesn’t often appear on television. It functions as both a science fiction story and a depiction of Cold War tensions. The United States develops an extremely powerful computer to oversee its defense network. This sophisticated system possesses independent intelligence, allowing it to process the vast amount of information needed to manage nuclear weapons. Dr. Charles Forbin is responsible for creating this computer, which he names Colossus. He learns that the Soviets have also built a similar system called Guardian, and the two computers begin exchanging information. Soon, these machines begin issuing instructions and setting conditions for the people who control them. Forbin has to find a way to halt the computers before it’s too late. What's unsettling is how much more intelligent the computers are than the humans involved, which makes everything complicated. I won’t reveal any further details; you really should watch it yourself. This film paved the way for movies like *The Matrix* and *The Terminator*. It’s excellent.
