The pursuit of easy money frequently leads to problems! This movie feels like it suffers from wandering storytelling. While the cast and characters are agreeable, the fundamental plot didn't develop or deepen as much as it needed to. The film’s tempo was acceptable, though. Certain characters felt superfluous, and some scenes seemed unnecessary too. Even if those issues were addressed, it still might have been a satisfactory movie. Given that it’s an action-adventure, they failed to deliver the essential elements—the stunts and dialogue associated with the gangster storyline—that would elevate it within its genre. The pairing of these two experienced actors for the first time created more interest than enjoyment. Their performances were adequate, as were those of the other cast members. The length was appropriate, a few aspects worked in the film's favor, but they weren’t sufficient to guarantee overall success. It's possible that if this same story had been made by filmmakers from another culture—perhaps Germany, one of the film's production countries—it would have turned out better than this version, which is so familiar with the language. People will likely watch it just to see Hopkins and Kingsley, and I was among them. However, they might be let down, or perhaps that’s why some people will rate it a bit higher. Ultimately, it's an acceptable film, mildly entertaining, and certainly not dull. Giving it a try is fine if you have the time, but it isn’t worth your while if there are other options available. _6/10_
