“Cold Storage” isn’t destined for awards or lasting recognition, but it manages to be enjoyable. It's a rather bleak horror-action-comedy featuring fungal zombies, and the absurdity of it all somehow comes together effectively. The movie features characters who are clearly struggling in their lives, but they don’t attempt to present themselves as anything more than what they are. The final product is fairly easy to watch. I appreciated the scene referencing COVID; that's likely the only instance where the film felt truly humorous. Still, there’s sufficient action to maintain a steady pace. Ultimately, it's a goofy and entertaining zombie action movie. It’s worth checking out.
