The controversy surrounding the boycott is what you’d expect—those involved simply want Lian Neeson to offer an apology so they can dismiss it, effectively ending his career as a demonstration of their moral superiority through harming someone else. The reasons behind that situation are truly awful. However, for those who don't feel compelled to join in with that reaction, I have to say...it had the absolute best ending imaginable! It does have a certain 90s vibe, and the actor playing the main villain isn’t particularly good, but the plot has some surprising turns, and it's enjoyable as a revenge movie intended to be calm, darkly humorous, and visually appealing. I almost skipped seeing this because I was getting worn out by *Taken*. Ultimately, what you get is a film that’s fun and entertaining.
