I’ve always liked the Treadaway twins, yet even with Alan Ford trying to channel Albert Finney as their on-screen father "Ray," this film has difficulty connecting. The story centers around Harry ("Andy") and his friend "Terry" (Rasmus Hardiker), who come up with a plan to put together a crew for a bank robbery. Ashley Thomas is the muscle, playing "Mental Mickey," and Michelle Ryan’s character, “Katy,” proves capable as their scheme develops. What they didn't foresee was the transformation of East London into something akin to a zombie outbreak. The question of whether they succeed in their heist or evade capture by law enforcement feels almost unimportant compared to escaping hordes of creatures under some kind of enchantment—the result of disturbing an old graveyard during construction. These monsters, covered in what looks like ketchup, are relentless and numerous, so the group has to find a way to reach a boat on the Thames and head toward Canvey Island. Will they manage it? It's not necessarily a bad movie, but originality seems entirely absent. There’s some decent rapport between Treadaway and the amusing Hardiker, however everything else feels like a follow-up to "Shaun of the Dead" (2004), mixed with elements from “The Bill” for those flashing police lights. It's obviously intended as a parody, and if you view it that way, it’s a silly and predictable action film that won’t stick in your memory, though it does get through ninety minutes without being unpleasant.
