Cobra is a standard action movie starring Sylvester Stallone; it doesn’t offer many surprises. The action sequences are enjoyable, and certain deaths stand out as particularly striking. The soundtrack is acceptable, though the song choices aren't exceptional. Stallone delivers a familiar performance, which is generally effective. However, I found his character’s dialogue to be lacking—the effort to portray Cobra as a sophisticated and intimidating figure falls short. I was close to finding this movie disappointing, but the engaging action and Stallone’s presence ultimately elevate it to being quite good, in my view.
