Alicia Silverstone performs well as the character of a privileged young woman who possesses considerable wealth but lacks practicality. While she might appear naive, there's more to her than meets the eye; when she successfully brings together two teachers, “Mr. Hall” (Wallace Shawn) and “Miss Geist” (Twink Caplan), in a romantic connection, she begins to wonder if she could assist others—possibly even herself. Her initial effort involves helping a new student, "Tai" (Brittany Murphy), alongside her wealthy friend “Dionne” (Stacey Dash).
