“Léo” (played by Eden Dambrine), who is thirteen, and his friend “Rémi” (Gustav De Waele) are extremely close; they share everything from playtime to meals and even sleeping arrangements—a truly strong bond of friendship. However, things begin to change when their classmates start making unkind comments, and "Léo," who tends to be more outgoing, starts distancing himself from “Rémi,” gradually increasing the space between them. A sad event occurs after “Rémi” is missing for a school outing, and it deeply affects young "Léo" as well as "Sophie" (Émilie Dequenne), his friend’s mother. The film explores cruelty—not the intentional kind, but rather the type born from carelessness and misunderstanding, like what you might see from a bully. It's also about love, faithfulness, and even betrayal. There are two very good performances from the young actors who portray their characters’ reactions to being unfairly judged and suspected by people who didn't understand the situation. The movie examines parenting, honesty, and how individuals cope with loss in their own ways—and it does so quite powerfully. It stays with you afterward, bringing a feeling of sadness. It is definitely worth seeing.
