“Citizen Vigilante” isn’t exactly a cinematic masterpiece, but its subject matter feels like something that needed to be addressed. Considering how Western governments consistently dismiss any acknowledgment of issues related to their immigration policies and the disparities in legal treatment, there's also an increasing unwillingness among people in Europe and beyond to accept the narrative that their cultures are inherently diverse—and the idea of monoculturalism as a fabrication. To be frank, I only briefly watched this film, and it’s definitely more of an action movie with numerous plot inconsistencies. Nevertheless, it brings up some very real issues regarding crime originating from outside the country and how justice systems aren't adequately prosecuting those responsible. I’m not shocked to learn that it has been prohibited in Germany; I suspect similar bans will follow in other places as well. The United Kingdom and Australia seem likely candidates for restrictions. It does make me appreciate living somewhere where this kind of crime, though not completely unknown, isn't commonplace. It also serves as a caution about the potential consequences of choosing unsuitable individuals to hold political power. Ultimately, while “Citizen Vigilante” won’t be remembered as an exceptional action film, it demonstrates bravery in directly confronting legitimate worries concerning imported crime and cultural fragmentation.
