A really enjoyable film that I’d happily rewatch, and I can suggest it if you don't mind on-screen deaths and discussions about philosophy or game theory. (It brings "Saw 2" to mind, but without the graphic violence.) I am consistently impressed when a filmmaker manages to create a worthwhile movie set entirely in one place. The story centers around a group of people supposedly taken by aliens and forced to participate in a life-or-death game, which allows us to observe what people are capable of when they’re without oversight within an organized setting. The film has a distinct "Twilight Zone" feel. It's challenging to find actors for so many prominent roles, and the focus shifts among them as individuals become targets during the game, but most of the performers deliver adequate portrayals in their parts. While the production quality is evident, it’s clear that beyond the set design and the means of execution, little else was needed. It looks so inexpensive, you could easily adapt it into a television series; there are even party games with comparable ideas. There's not much to comment on without giving away key plot points other than to say that this is largely dialogue-driven: characters spend considerable time debating who should survive and who should perish. Although I find these kinds of scenarios interesting, others might prefer films featuring romance or action sequences, and those options are readily available as well.
