This is likely the finest live-action Cinderella adaptation I’ve come across. Disney has once more demonstrated its capabilities. The story of Cinderella is familiar to most people, and this film presented it straightforwardly, enhanced by contemporary CGI techniques. When news broke about Disney's plan for a live-action version, I was quite skeptical, but those concerns have vanished. Filmmakers now possess the expertise to produce high-budget films with relative simplicity. Hollywood especially can find success in different markets if one area doesn’t perform well, as 'Age of Extinction' recently illustrated. It’s gratifying that this film achieved considerable success, even though the narrative wasn’t groundbreaking; it was the exceptional quality of the final product that mattered. The movie has a runtime of almost 100 minutes, which didn't feel excessive because the story unfolded at an agreeable rhythm. The director, known for 'Thor', managed everything exceptionally well. We appear to be entering a new period for live-action movies drawing inspiration from fairytales, folklore, and classic animations. Recent films like 'Maleficent' served as a strong example, and this one now joins the ranks of successful entries. Lily James was quite good; I haven’t seen much of her work because she seems to be relatively new to prominence. She is charming and endearing, and I hope to see her in many future films. As for Cate Blanchett, I never doubted her abilities, and she delivered a flawless performance. It's an excellent choice for families looking for weekend entertainment. Children are sure to enjoy it, so it’s worth watching with them, at the very least. 7/10
