The title feels odd, and the opening doesn’t really explain much, giving more of a rough estimate of something instead. It's a Russian story, with Russian characters and settings. The plot starts after World War Two in Moscow, centering on a high-ranking police officer entangled in departmental conflicts and an ongoing case. Following the failure of his initial investigation, he’s given another chance to rebuild his life in a different town. However, problems persist when he begins looking into several deaths involving children. The resolution of this case concludes the story with a minor surprise. The performances were acceptable, though not particularly memorable. I imagine that's partly because it was an international production and they chose English dialogue, but hearing it in its original language would likely have enhanced the experience. It felt like a lengthy film; the first portion was quite dull as it seemed disconnected from what happens later on. The narrative becomes considerably more engaging when the setting moves away from Moscow. So, essentially, the real story kicks off roughly an hour into the movie. The acting improves at this point. Noomi Rapace and Tom Hardy both deliver energetic performances, making the second half of the film worthwhile. It was directed by a filmmaker known for 'Easy Money,' who also included some Swedish actors in smaller roles. Ultimately, it wasn't as good as I’d hoped, but the ending was satisfactory. I can’t really suggest seeing it, though everyone has their own tastes. So, I neither endorse nor discourage watching it; to me, it was just an average movie. _5/10_
