Cherry 2000 incorporates elements of cyberpunk, a post-apocalyptic setting, comedy, action sequences, dramatic moments, and a romantic storyline—all with a touch of 1980s kitsch. (It's an unusual combination that left studio ORION unsure how to market the movie, which is why it initially debuted on VHS rather than in theaters!) I won’t reveal any plot points, but if you enjoy science fiction, particularly the lighthearted and cheesy style of 1980s sci-fi, then you'll probably like this film, or even really love it.
