It’s a shame Allison Scagliotti was given such weak material to work with; she’s clearly capable of good performances. Despite the script’s failings, her presence made the movie bearable, and it's largely thanks to her effort—plus just how much charm and personality she exudes. However, that wasn’t enough to redeem the film overall. The majority of the supporting cast delivered very lifeless portrayals. What had the potential to be an enjoyable, familiar kind of story was held back by a lackluster ensemble, awkward political commentary intended to flesh out the characters but feeling incredibly out-of-touch even just six years later, and jokes that fell flat either due to how they were presented or because they simply weren't humorous. Still, for those who enjoy Allison Scagliotti’s work, seeing it might be worthwhile, mainly with the hope she will soon get offered more suitable parts.
