It seems like things are safe in the Australian outback, but that’s not quite true, because *Charlie’s Farm* exists. This movie is a slasher film and falls into the Ozploitation genre. It feels like a combination of *The Texas Chainsaw Massacre* and *The Devil's Rejects*, but it takes place in Australia. Director Chris Sun demonstrates competence behind the camera. The story involves a group who choose to visit "Charlie’s Farm," which is known for having been the scene of a vigilante killing. There's one issue: Charlie lived through that event and isn’t pleased about it. Tara Reid, playing the only American character, refuses to go into the farm; she has an uneasy feeling. It’s possible her experience with *Sharknado* is still affecting her. Regardless, Charlie begins eliminating the friends one by one, including a mixed martial arts fighter portrayed by Kane Hodder. Nathan Jones delivers a scary performance as Charlie and Bill Mosley is enjoying himself playing another villain. The film contains gore and some unexpected turns that will definitely raise your pulse and make you want to lock your doors. If you're into slasher films, this might be something you’d enjoy. I would rate it around 2 ½ to 3 stars.
