I was genuinely hoping to enjoy it more. A lot of the female-led team action movies we’ve seen recently feel empty inside. I understand there's a large group of people who were determined not to like this film from the start, declaring it would be awful before they even saw it, and that many of them made that choice simply because it features women in leading roles—and it’s completely justified to mock those individuals. But after watching it... Yes, it incorporates feminism with a touch of LGBTQ+ representation, but it's a very **corporate** brand of feminism and a very **subtly-addressed** gay identity. That wasn’t ideal, because it was the one thing I was excited about, and also appears to be what _Charlie’s Angels_ considers sufficient progress. The whole project feels dictated from executive offices and lacks depth, which I might have been able to overlook if the story were decent or if other usual movie strengths were present, but those elements are simply lacking—they're just plain bad. _Final rating:★★ - It had some appealing qualities, but ultimately it didn’t work out well._
