I went into this without any prior knowledge of the book it’s adapted from, so I wasn’t influenced by what a faithful adaptation should be. And honestly, my reaction was just… okay. The storytelling felt somewhat disorganized and disjointed, but I did find myself reasonably amused. Tom Holland was generally good in his central role, and Daisy Ridley became more appealing as things progressed, even if her character didn't feel fully realized. It’s likely something you could rent and enjoy, though I can’t imagine watching it again anytime soon—except perhaps to hear Doug Liman’s commentary track given all the problems that occurred during filming and the extensive reshoots. **3.0/5**
