'Challengers' proved to be quite entertaining. I have to mention right away that the promotional poster is really well done! Fortunately, the film itself lives up to it. I found watching it enjoyable overall; I do have a few (very) small reservations about how quickly things move and the music—that loud club song feels over the top—but those concerns mostly disappear considering how good everything else is. The performances are all strong. Zendaya clearly takes center stage for the film's 131-minute length, and she’s excellent from beginning to end. Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist are also very impressive; they definitely don’t get overshadowed by Zendaya. I’d seen O’Connor previously in TV's *'The Crown'*, so his performance wasn't a surprise, but this is the first time I’ve watched Faist act. Aside from that one track I mentioned earlier, the music is generally superb. I also appreciated how the tennis matches were presented; I’m not much of a dedicated fan of the sport myself, but it all seemed authentic. I think the movie could have been slightly shorter, and maybe there are too many different time periods shown, but these aren't significant problems for me—just things worth pointing out. It’s definitely a terrific film!
