The genuineness of "Cha Cha Real Smooth" is striking, amplified by excellent acting and a story that resonates emotionally. Cooper Raiff creates characters who are easy to connect with, people who rely on one another to navigate complicated and unclear periods in their lives. There’s something special about the rapport between Raiff and Dakota Johnson; they portray imperfect individuals with quiet grace. Whether or not someone will enjoy this film likely depends a lot on what they've been through because it feels very genuine throughout. For me, the honest portrayal of life after college and how the autistic daughter is handled really got to me. Even though the movie is fairly straightforward and occasionally comes across as overly gentle or idealistic in more significant scenes, I still highly suggest seeing it. It’s a film that deserves to be experienced in theaters. Rating: A-
