I found this really funny. Besides demonstrating just how in shape Rupert Everett was in 1994, it's a silly and pleasant zombie film. He plays the appropriately titled cemetery manager "Dellamorte," who, together with his constantly famished assistant “Gnaghi” (François Hadji-Lazaro), is responsible for ensuring that those he buries remain deceased! He’s practically perfected this process until the arrival of the beautiful "She" (Anna Falchi). Then, things start to fall apart, and he discovers numerous new applications for the gravestones – apparently, one conceals her recently departed husband. The film has a low-budget charm, the zombies are not difficult to get rid of, so the focus is largely on the attractive actors who don’t hold back with each other (or with us). There's a memorable sequence where a bus full of people eliminates itself and some motorcyclists—leaving him with quite a pileup the following day. That pretty much sums up what you can expect. It won’t challenge your intellect, but it is fairly diverting.
