This film didn't really appeal to me, though I recognize that might be because it wasn't made for viewers like myself. Punk rock has never been something I’ve gotten into; I was turned off by the negativity and self-destructive nature of those involved in it. Even though Adam Rickman gave a commendable performance, I didn't feel any connection to his character or find myself hoping he would succeed. That said, these feelings aren't really due to shortcomings on the film’s part. The script, performances, and other aspects were well-executed; it simply doesn't align with my tastes. People who appreciate punk rock or have an interest in music history are likely to find this movie more appealing and give it a better evaluation than I did.
