"Caught Stealing" is the sort of movie that elicits strong responses. Darren Aronofsky once more shows his skill at crafting films that are challenging and linger in your thoughts even after they’ve ended. Austin Butler gives a remarkable performance, full of captivating energy and depth, which manages to enhance every moment with a palpable sense of reality. Although certain aspects of the story aren't as effective, they don’t lessen the impact of a film that is ultimately a deeply moving and absorbing exploration of a man struggling through difficult circumstances. It isn't flawless, but it’s a forceful narrative, worthy of being witnessed and talked about with the same dedication Aronofsky brings to all his work. Rating: B+
