Sidney James and Hattie Jacques portray the proprietors of "Wedded Bliss," a dating agency claiming to employ intricate computer programs for matchmaking. Their brochure, playfully named "to wit to woo," promises romantic success, but as it's another “Carry On” film, predictably disastrous pairings unfold over ninety minutes. This installment stands out in my mind within the series. The comedic chemistry between James and Jacques is consistently effective, and here there’s a sufficient amount of humor—distinct from cheap double entendres—to make it enjoyable. Joan Sims and Terry Scott also contribute positively, with Scott in an unexpected role. Kenneth Williams' part isn’t particularly strong, Charles Hawtrey’s character, “Bedsop,” proved somewhat irritating, and the film does revisit some previous concepts a bit too frequently. Nevertheless, compared to others in the franchise, this is a slightly improved offering that elicits more of a chuckle than outright laughter while passing the time in a familiar, risqué style.
