A scientist, Carradine’s character, pursues an unclear goal: transforming animals into humans. His method, which involves transplanting human glands, causes concern in his nurse. She quickly becomes part of his experiments, and the resulting creature named "Beth" (played by Evelyn Ankers) is a strange combination of frightening and funny. The film also includes traditional lion taming with whips and chairs, leading to chaotic scenes within a circus setting featuring noticeably poor visual effects that could be easily improved. Carradine’s performance provides some redemption; he possessed the captivating gaze suitable for this type of part, but overall, the movie is rather disappointing.
