The narrative of _Candyman_ held my interest, and it boasts impressive visuals, making for a passable viewing experience; however, as a horror movie, it noticeably lacked...horror. Throughout the film, I didn’t feel any suspense or anxiety, nor did I get the impression that something exciting was building up. It felt more like an examination of Candyman's character. I appreciated this focus on his background and how different people in the community understood him.
