Daniel Goldhaber directs Cam, a psychological thriller featuring Madeline Brewer, known for her work on Black Mirror, and produced by Blumhouse Productions. The film centers on Alice, an online cam girl who broadcasts from her home studio. Her success is abruptly interrupted when someone impersonating her takes over her account. Although the movie initially captivates, it falters somewhat in its development and ultimately raises numerous questions for viewers, particularly concerning the motivations of the people involved. It’s enjoyable enough to watch once and feels akin to an extended episode of Black Mirror.
