What a great film! I honestly didn't have high hopes for *'Cabrini'* because I hadn’t seen or heard anything about it anywhere – no previews, nothing like that. I was also watching it alone in the cinema, which I enjoyed personally, but it could have been a warning sign for the movie itself. However, it turned out to be really well made! The acting was superb, the story unfolded at a good speed, there were some striking visuals and a powerful musical score. The photography is truly excellent; I honestly lost track of how many times I thought "That's an incredible shot!". As for the performances, Cristiana Dell’Anna gave a fantastic lead performance – it’s the first time I’ve seen her in anything, as I haven’t watched many Italian films, and I hope she appears in more of what I watch. Giancarlo Giannini also made a strong impression. It was good to see John Lithgow and David Morse, too. It's a really well-presented (true!) story. The runtime of about 2 hours and 20 minutes went by very quickly. I definitely suggest seeing it if you have the chance!
