It’s one of those movies where you won’t immediately grasp the concept. It felt too disjointed and dreamlike, though eventually everything seemed to tie together. The narration is complex, which made it initially hard to follow. I did appreciate the character called 'the last free man'; if I can say I got anything out of watching this film, it was because of him. He’s a really compelling figure, and I think they didn't do enough with him or let an excellent chance slip by. There are so many stories that could have been told centered around that kind of character, but instead, they chose to tell a rather straightforward story. It should have felt more like 'Captain Fantastic'. Rami was alright; he fulfilled the requirements of his part. But it wasn’t a standout performance. I can see why the film is so bleak and has elements of dark humor. The main plot seemed well-thought-out, about a man with strong desires who devoted himself to achieving them, but didn't realize what he was transforming into. It had a vibe similar to 'Split' mixed with 'Bad Santa'. Some of the scenes on a boat felt a little disconnected from everything else, although they did offer a unique look at the character’s struggle with reality. This is a movie for a specific audience. I hate giving it such a low rating, but I need to be truthful. _3/10_
