The film successfully connects with its emotional core, but most other aspects of 'Brothers' feel dull. The movie succeeds in making viewers invested in both Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of David and Sidharth Malhotra’s Monty; however, the focus is much more on Kumar’s character. Outside of their storylines, the narrative surrounding the sports elements and the family/father dynamic feels underdeveloped. The film's length also becomes a problem; my viewing experience—through Colors Cineplex—lasted roughly two hours, and I couldn’t quite account for the reported additional thirty minutes. I'm relieved that portion wasn't present, because it likely would have lowered my assessment considerably. The soundtrack is enjoyable, at least. There are numerous superior Hindi sports dramas available.
