"Kenai," now in bear form, is enjoying life alongside his friend "Koda," though memories of his past romance with "Nita" linger. Years have passed since they last saw each other, and she's about to get married. However, the spirits believe "Kenai" and "Nita" are destined for one another and aren’t happy about this impending union. To resolve things, she must go back to where he once gave her a charm and destroy it. She finds them both, and together they set off on that quest, but along the way, questions arise regarding their course of action, and young "Koda" worries about losing his closest companion. While not quite reaching the heights of the original, this installment still explores the spiritual connection between people and the natural world, all while providing some amusing escapades—particularly when her fiancé tags along and grows increasingly frustrated by what he witnesses. The film maintains a brisk pace for just over an hour, featuring animation in a classic style and a generally pleasant, though perhaps overly sentimental, narrative.
