It’s a film concerning America, featuring Hollywood actors but created and overseen by filmmakers from elsewhere. It's quite impactful, resembling something like 'No Country for Old Men' combined with 'Les Miserables'. The narrative is structured into four sections. The initial segment, titled Revelation, presents Liz’s world, though it’s consistently tense due to surprising developments. Then the second episode, Exodus, introduces a young girl, Joanna, and the third, Genesis, delves even deeper into Joanna's past before circling back to Liz in the fourth, called Retribution. It might be Dakota Johnson's strongest performance as an adult actress, alongside Emilia Jones’ work. They portrayed the same character across different points in time. It's a strange coincidence that they both share my birth month and day. Looking at one of the promotional images, I initially thought it was Michael Sheen; I only recognized Guy Pearce while actually watching the movie. The film is excellent from its script to its production. However, the plot might be disturbing for some viewers because the connections between characters and their relationships are intense—not suitable for those who prefer gentler stories. Still, it's a thriller and western that deserves to be seen. _7/10_
