Aldis Hodge delivers a noteworthy performance as Banks; his portrayal avoids depicting him as either flawless or irredeemable. Greg Kinnear is solid as the lawyer who believes in Banks’s honesty and, with assistance from his "Innocence Project" colleagues, secures a judicial review of the case. Because the story was widely reported previously, there aren't any surprises in terms of plot progression; instead, it highlights how often the legal system falls short, and that one positive aspect of our society is the willingness to admit this and address its repercussions—though after an extended and disheartening wait.
