It’s got elements of a home invasion story, touches of the Western genre, and nods to _Die Hard_. _Braven_ features Momoa as the main character—perhaps a rehearsal for his role as Draven—in this throwback action film, which is a decent foundation for the movie. It isn't particularly original, but I found _Braven_ more entertaining than I anticipated. This feels like something you’d happily watch on Netflix or at a matinee. _Final rating:★★★ - I liked it.
