This film does an impressive job highlighting the landscapes of Scotland and its surrounding areas, something I appreciated as a Scottish person myself. The plot maintains a gripping tension from beginning to end. Mel Gibson delivers a strong performance with the accent and embodies the character of William Wallace very well. I find myself wanting to leap up and yell "Freedom!" when it concludes. I could watch this film countless times without tiring of it. It’s definitely something everyone who hasn't already should make an effort to see.
