Mickey, from Stitcher, finds himself dealing with bothersome flies, quickly taking care of them with his swatter. Later, when he shares stories about his strength with someone in the village, they mistakenly believe he’s killed seven giants. Considering a giant is currently causing trouble for the kingdom, Mickey is called to the king and told that he'll receive golden bazookies and Princess Minnie’s hand if he can resolve this situation. Feeling nervous and equipped only with pinking shears, he sets off on his dangerous quest. The outcome isn’t really in question, but I noticed elements reminiscent of a rodent-themed “David and Goliath” as his opponent easily destroys a wagon full of pumpkins and some straw while being motivated by thoughts of Minnie. The animation utilizes the Arthurian setting to its advantage, using costumes and the environment to create an enjoyable and exciting ten minutes. Despite everything, I was still hoping things would work out for him.
