The film, drawing inspiration from the psychological horror of Polanski and concluding with an intentionally unclear resolution, carries a certain air of self-importance that hints at affectedness. While ‘Braid’ doesn't quite satisfy as a narrative, it does showcase Mitzi Peirone as someone willing to take chances and deserving of respect, displaying both a genuine passion for the genre itself and for filmmaking in general.
