I understand why _Brahms_ isn’t resonating with many viewers, because I actually found some merit in the initial film. To be clear, it wasn't a labor of love for me, and I wouldn’t call it exceptional. However, there were elements that I appreciated, and I believe the criticism directed at _The Boy_ might have been excessive. Unfortunately, _Brahms_ completely dismantles everything about _The Boy_ that I was willing to champion. I had a few positive observations regarding the first movie—things I felt deserved recognition—but this sequel not only lacks those qualities (recall my point about the original having performers who could handle the concept? This one certainly doesn't) but goes out of its way to negate what made _The Boy_ enjoyable in the first place. _Final rating:★½: - Boring/disappointing. Avoid where possible._
