Learning all of the Spanish spoken in this film would make you incredibly impressive, like Miklo himself. He’s a blonde, blue-eyed character who is readily embraced by the community. It's almost like a foreigner's fantasy come to life. Although, even someone as famous as Tom Cruise couldn’t convincingly portray a Japanese person. The Latine culture seems remarkably open and accepting! The film is titled *Blood in Blood Out*, not *Bound By Honor*. That latter title is misleading; the practice of taking blood oaths is rooted in honor. However, the actual meaning of "Blood In. Blood Out" isn't precisely a blood oath, but it’s close. Despite that, it’s still a pretty good title. It runs for quite some time—it really does. But I found it to be enjoyable; there were moments where I laughed and other times when things got very intense. The Spanish dialogue is fantastic. *Vatos Locos*, man. It made me want to join a gang, but honestly, I’m too old, from a quiet mountain town, and grew up with only two television channels. While joining a gang might be an option, it's not something I feel particularly drawn to. I really hope that the tamale shop and that particular tree are still around. Blood in...blood ouuuuut!!!
