I’m honestly puzzled by Hollywood’s assumption that this would do well. Considering the number of writer strikes demanding fair compensation, is this really what they consider a reward for those who stood by them? It's not my thing—I've never been into the Borderlands games; they just don’t appeal to me, although I understand why others enjoy them, particularly when playing with friends. Still, I know the characters, and watching this movie completely dismantle them feels like a real insult. If you aren't going to honor the original story or material you’re adapting, then maybe it shouldn't exist at all. P.S.—Kevin Hart as Roland? Seriously? What’s in the water out there in California?
