It wasn’t easy getting through Borat Subsequent Moviefilm; it didn't fail to be as outrageous as the original, but I found my time watching it a bit jarring because Sacha Baron Cohen packs so much into it. There are definitely some laugh-out-loud instances and bizarre exchanges that define the movie, yet eventually, the humor just doesn’t land as well. The commentary on the Trump presidency is accurate, which suggests this might be geared more toward an American audience. Still, I will say the sequel feels bolder, sneakier, and braver than its predecessor, and that's what ultimately counts. **Grade C-**.
