The main performers are enjoyable, but what truly stands out is the ensemble of supporting actors. I approached _Booksmart_ with some hesitation. Over the preceding few years, I’d been told very similar positive things about three films centered on young women coming of age: _Edge of Seventeen_, _Lady Bird,_ and _Eighth Grade_. It seems to me that one of those is genuinely good, another is decent enough, and a third falls short. So when the same kind of praise started surfacing for _Booksmart_, I wasn’t sure what to anticipate. After seeing it, though, it could possibly be the strongest of them all. Without question, it's the most humorous. It has a good chance of being my only film outside of action movies that I seek out again this year. _Final rating:★★★½ - I enjoyed it quite a bit. I would definitely suggest you watch it._
