It wasn’t a good experience, and it’s unlikely I’ll revisit it or suggest it to others. I chose to watch this movie because it featured Amanda Seyfried and Heather Graham, and I hadn't previously encountered it. While I think there was an underlying message being attempted, the scenes involving Seyfried and Graham felt like unnecessary nods to fans and ended up being unfortunate standouts in a negative way. The film centers on what’s presented as the "art world," but really, it’s not about art itself—it's more concerned with capitalism, transforming it into a story about business dealings and politics. The plot revolves around characters I didn't connect with manipulating one another and attempting to gain leverage. Honestly, it would have been more engaging if it had been a nature documentary instead. I simply don’t find watching wealthy individuals move money around without purpose to be compelling. My life would improve considerably if I never heard Danny Huston laugh that way again.
