_**Erotic drama/thriller at a ski resort in Ontario with Nicole Eggert & the 2 Coreys**_ During the time when the resort isn’t busy, two brothers (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman) have jobs at a Northeastern ski resort. One of them begins dating the owner's daughter (Nicole Eggert and Jean LeClerc). She has some problems with her parents and tends to resolve ordinary issues in ways that aren’t exactly right. “Blown Away” (1993) is a drama/thriller that includes unexpected softcore elements, and it shouldn’t be mistaken for the 1994 movie of the same name starring Tommy Lee Jones and Jeff Bridges. I say “unexpected” because I didn't anticipate seeing erotica in a crime drama on Roku. In that regard, it shares similarities with "Two Moon Junction" (1988) and "Embrace of the Vampire" (1995), although this one is a different type of film. If you’re not comfortable with brief nude scenes and sexual situations, I would suggest watching something else. However, if that doesn't bother you, the Ontario ski resort locations provide a nice backdrop for the story, and Eggert is pleasing to look at, as are Kathleen Robertson (as Darla) and a few other performers. Haim does okay as the young man coming of age, although his actions in a questionable bar don’t seem very believable. Feldman, meanwhile, is surprisingly convincing as the darker brother. Haim and Feldman were well-known as The Two Coreys, real-life close friends who appeared in nine movies together, including “The Lost Boys” (1987). Sadly, Haim passed away in 2010 after a long battle with drug addiction and pneumonia. Feldman later published an autobiography about their friendship in 2020 that revealed instances of sexual abuse they experienced as children in the entertainment industry, titled "My Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys.” The movie worked for me mainly because of the great setting and interesting cast, but there’s some shaky acting, and the plot becomes overly dramatic and hard to believe in the final section. The film is 1 hour and 32 minutes long and was filmed at Talisman Mountain Resort in Kimberly, Ontario, as well as Pickering College in Newmarket, which is about a 45-minute drive southeast of the resort in the Toronto area.
