Swearing is a harsh habit; someone who does it isn't refined. Given that Michael Jai White is among the most formidable people alive, it was practically certain he’d move into films like Van Damme, Seagal, and Norris did. A martial artist with exceptional talent and lethal elegance, White contributes not just his impressive build and abilities to the movie, but also a quiet intensity to his portrayal of Isaiah Bone, an ex-prisoner who goes undercover in a clandestine fighting scene to get revenge for a friend’s death. The plot offers nothing unexpected, but the action sequences, their design, and the editing are all top quality. So settle in and go along with it; allow the fast-paced energy to take over, and be glad that another martial arts specialist has joined the mix relatively recently. A really good action movie, hooray! 7/10
