I can easily see why Marilyn Monroe might have turned to sleeping pills; watching this film left me feeling utterly hopeless, and that’s before the credits rolled. It's a truly disheartening experience, so bleak that it becomes difficult to endure. I searched repeatedly for any glimmer of positivity, but found absolutely nothing to offer even a small sense of hope.
