Blitz falls short across nearly every aspect. It's a rather simplistic production featuring performers who were far more talented than the material allowed them to be. The film openly displays its shortcomings in terms of both coherence and craftsmanship, which unfortunately extends the perception of its length. The narrative wanders off on tangents and irrelevant subplots, attempting to connect these loose ends later on; however, this ultimately leads to a scattered story with noticeably poor pacing. The musical choices didn't contribute positively either, as loud rock music is used during action sequences. A bright spot is the casting, which includes several actors who have since achieved greater prominence, one of whom has even won an Academy Award. Sadly, inadequate direction prevented the cast from showcasing their abilities effectively. I’m a big fan of Statham's work, but this movie didn't impress me at all.
