It struck me as perhaps the most faithful film representation I’ve encountered of Shakespeare’s observation about the path to insanity. The central character is born with exceptional eyesight; specifically, she can perceive events in both past and future timelines. However, her vision doesn't encompass her current moment, and she has no control over what she witnesses. A simple solution might be to simply cover one eye, but then a question arises: would it be preferable to know the safety of what’s already happened or to look forward to the thrill of what is yet to come? Maybe avoiding both entirely would be best. I really appreciated the animation style; initially, it evoked Gauguin's painting technique. The moral considerations surrounding her decisions are presented through a bit of audience involvement at the very end, which certainly prompts reflection. It’s an interesting eight-minute film that is worth watching.
