I really enjoyed Blast from the Past! It's the kind of film that just gives you a pleasant feeling afterward. Brendan Fraser is wonderful in it; he perfectly captures Adam’s appeal and naivete, which makes him very likeable. And Christopher Walken? He’s simply excellent as usual—he adds so much to his part, managing to balance his oddness with sincerity really well. Both of them were exactly right for their roles and contributed a lot to the movie's enjoyment. The plot is pretty unbelievable, but that’s actually what makes it entertaining. It doesn’t attempt to be believable, and that’s fine because the film celebrates its absurdity in a great way. Even though the idea is wild, the writing really does work—it’s cheerful, funny, and has just enough emotional depth to keep you interested. It's certainly one of those movies you can watch over and over again. It may be a little strange, but that’s part of what makes it special. If you want something uplifting and fun, this film gets everything right.
